About Paulette


Paulette, a native of Toledo, Ohio, began dancing at the age of 4. She studied ballet, jazz, tap, and gymnastics. Her passion for dance led her to study at Ohio State University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance. She was classically trained in ballet and modern dance. She draws upon her experience in choreography and performance technique, developed from numerous dance productions while at Ohio State.

After graduating from the dance program at Ohio State, Paulette began her professional career in Las Vegas. She performed in the production, City Lites at the Flamingo Hilton as a dancer and ice dancer. She performed as a featured dancer in Beyond Belief with the world famous Siegfried and Roy Show.

She then pursued a dancing and acting career in Los Angeles. She performed in various dance productions and international dance videos with her partner Felix Chavez. Their specialty dance was Lambada. She was also a dancer in the film Great Balls of Fire.

Paulette returned home to Toledo to be closer to her family. She continued to perform in productions such as A Christmas Carol with the Toledo Repertory Theater. She began competing as a professional Latin Ballroom Dancer in the International Latin division. She competed in the dance styles of Rumba, Cha-cha, Samba, Paso Doble, and Jive.

Paulette has partnered with Matt Miller of The Dance Clinic in Toledo, Ohio, where they teach Ballroom, Latin, and Social Dancing. Their passion for dance, especially the Salsa, led them to compete at the World Salsa Competition in Miami, Florida. Paulette and Matt are available for shows, special occasions, dance training, and workshops. They enjoy teaching dance to students of all levels. Private and Group classes are available in various dance styles. Paulette offers special classes for women including Technique and Styling for Ballroom Dancers and Nightclub Dancing.

Paulette is proud to offer
Pole Dance Fitness for women that want an exciting new way to exercise. The Pole Dance Fitness classes will increase a woman's level of fitness while building strength, flexibility, and confidence. She uses her training in the Alexander Technique while teaching dance. The Alexander Technique is a method which can help you perform all of your usual activities, including dancing, without unnecessary tension. She also uses her knowledge of Kinesiology for the Dancer to help students understand the way that their bodies move. These techniques enhance the learning experience and develop well rounded dancers. These classes are a fun way to get in shape.

Paulette enjoys sharing her passion for dance and teaching people of all levels from beginners to accomplished students. She hopes to see you in the studio soon!
